Center your button at the top front of your bag, lining it up with the button loop. Sew button into place.
OUTER POCKET – uses approximately 60 yards of Color A
Row 1: Using Color A, chain 27. HDC in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across (26 HDC).
Rows 2 - 24: Chain 2, turn. HDC in each HDC across (26 HDC).
Cut Color A, leaving a 36 inch tail for attaching pocket to bag. Center pocket to the front of the bag and sew in place, using the long tail.
INNER POCKET – uses approximately 30 yards of Color A
Row 1: Using Color A, chain 27. HDC in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across (26 HDC).
Rows 2 - 12: Chain 2, turn. HDC in each HDC across (26 HDC).
Cut Color A, leaving a 24 inch tail for attaching pocket to bag. Attach Inner Pocket to inside of bag, lining the bottom and sides up to match where the outer pocket is located. If you wish, you can sew a line up the inner pocket, dividing it into two smaller pockets. I made one pocket about 3” and the other about 5”, because that would fit my cell phone and wallet.
HANDLES (MAKE 2) – uses approximately 50 yards of Color A
Row 1: Using Color A and leaving a long tail, chain 5. HDC in 2nd chain from hook. HDC in each HDC across (4 HDC)

Cut Color A, leaving a long tail for attaching handles to bag. Attach Handles to top of bag, about 2” from the sides. Weave in all ends.
